These Club programs help develop fitness, a positive use of leisure time, reduction of stress, appreciation for the environment and social and interpersonal skills.

Basketball

Skills & Drills Basketball Clinic 

Saturdays from October 28th to November 11th

Ages 5-10 years old

Cost: $30.00 if also registered for an in-house basketball league, $45.00 without.

Weekly clinics designed for working on Basketball fundamentals. Sessions are designed for beginners as well as advanced players. 


Leagues

Fee: $85.00 with a current Membership  

Teams practice weeknights and games are played Saturday mornings & afternoons.

Ages 5-7: Buddie Basketball League - runs from Nov - Feb.

Ages 8-10: Cadet Basketball League - runs from Nov - Feb.

Ages 11-13: Junior Basketball League - runs from March - June. 

Self Defense Karate & Safety Awareness

Fee: $10.00 per lesson, $15.00 registration fee

This program is designed to enhance self-esteem, self-discipline & safety awareness! Students are placed into classes according to age and ability. A black belt instructor teaches beginning,intermediate, and advanced techniques for self-defense only! Self-discipline and defense, rather than aggressiveness are emphasized throughout the course. Weekly safety flyers focus on a wide range of topics including stranger safety, fire safety, home safety, and more! The dangers of bullying and how to deal with peer pressure are also an important part of our program.

Tee-Ball League 

Fee: $85.00 with a current membership 

This league is for ages 5 and 6 years old and runs from April to June. Practices are held one evening per week, which is decided by the coach. Games are held on Saturdays and/or Sundays depending on the schedule rotation. All games are held at Union Little League's Hickory Manor Field. 

Children are taught hitting and catching skills, along with the rules of the game. Score is not kept. Children will hit off of a tee for the first few games of the season and then coaches will start pitching to them. A uniform consisting of a tee-shirt and hat are provided along with tee-ball equipment. Parents are responsible for mitts and any other equipment or apparel they feel necessary.
