National Boys & Girls Club Week
Union, NJ April 4, 2019— Get ready to celebrate National Boys & Girls Club Week April 8-12 and see first-hand the impact the Clubs make on youth. During the week there will be several events hosted to emphasize the importance and value of the Clubs in our community. Something excited is planned each day of the week in all of the club sites in Union, Plainfield, Elizabeth and Roselle, including a Cook Off sponsored by Whole Foods Market, an Extreme Catch Tournament, Talent Show, and a special performance by Hypnotist Derrick Watkins. Boys and Girls Club of Union County is part of Boys & Girls Club of America (BGCA). There are over 4,000 clubs around the country and on military bases throughout the world. Each of these clubs is dedicated to helping teens graduate from high school on time prepared for a great future. Core Boys and Girls Club programs include: Education Enhancement, Digital Literacy, Healthy Lifestyle Choices, Community Service, Civic Engagement, Teen Leadership, and Aquatics. Registration for Summer Camp is now open at our Union, Elizabeth and Plainfield clubs!
