As I reflect on my 45 years as the CEO of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Union County, and over 55 years in the movement, I am filled with immense appreciation and pride. Why do I still love my job after all those years? Because every day, I witness the transformative power of our work in the lives of young people.

In today’s world, where challenges seem to grow daily, the importance of our Clubs cannot be overstated. We provide a safe haven for children and teens who might otherwise lack support and guidance. Here, they find not only protection but also opportunities to thrive.

Our mission goes beyond mere safety; we equip our members with the skills and confidence they need to pursue their dreams. Whether it’s through educational programs, mentorship, or character-building activities, we ensure every child feels valued and capable of success.

The relationships forged at our Clubs are profound. Watching young members develop into responsible, compassionate adults, and then witnessing them return as mentors, is incredibly rewarding. These connections often last a lifetime, influencing generations.

I am grateful to our dedicated staff, board members, volunteers, and supporters who share this vision and continue to inspire me. Together, we will keep empowering every young person who walks through our doors to reach their full potential. That’s why I love my job more than ever.
