An Update from Russell Triolo, CEO

Dear Boys & Girls Club Family,
Once again, it’s the time of the year when we gather around the table with our families and pause to reflect that which we are thankful. This year, in addition to family and friends, I’m thankful for the privilege to serve this organization as Chief Executive Officer. It’s an honor to lead dedicated and supportive staff, board of directors and committee volunteers.
This year’s Thanksgiving holiday offers a special opportunity to reflect on our many blessings and to be grateful for the gifts we have received.  We are mindful of those less fortunate and struggling in our country and our world.  Thanksgiving is an invitation to rededicate ourselves in our own special way that could make a difference to the most vulnerable members of our communities.

The pandemic has been difficult for so many this year, especially our children. The need more than ever is to listen, understand, reassure children, and make them feel loved and safe. Children will need extra love and attention.

During this time of Thanksgiving and beyond we all need to spend quality time with them, do fun activities together to take their minds off the crisis and encourage them to do physical activity. The future of the world depends on how strong and resilient we raise our next generation to be.  At Boys & Girls Clubs of Union County, we are doing everything we can to support our children now and for years to come.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your families.
